Have you just moved into the Helsinki region and started your studies? Or maybe you have studied for a while, but you want new experiences? Do you want to meet buddies from other student nations?

Welcome to student nations and Fresher park! Student nations tie students from all fields of study together and offer versatile program from parties to sports and culture activities. On top of this the student nations support their members via scholarships and affordable housing.

It does not matter if you are a humanist, physicist, law or medicine student, everyone is warmly welcome to join the activities nations have to offer. Many student nations also have members from e.g. Aalto University, Metropolia, DIAK, Arcada and Haaga-Helia.

The special thing about the student nations is that they are divided according to Finland’s regions. However, you can join most of the nations, even if you do not come from the nation’s territory; it is enough if you study in Helsinki region in a University or in a university of applied sciences.

The student nations will together arrange an opportunity for freshers and other students to get to know the nations. This event takes place on Saturday 2.9.2023 at 14-20 in Hesperia Park.

The event will be FREE OF CHARGE for all and an opportunity to walk around and visit the different nations’ tables and learn about each nation’s history and activities. You can come alone or with friends, and visit the nations’ tables freely.

Perhaps you should join the Vasa nation, or perhaps Savolainen osakunta, the Nylands Nation or why not the Satakuntalainen osakunta? Come here and find out where you belong! You don’t have to come at a particular time, but you can come and go freely during the day!
